Treasure on a Saturday morning!

Jaz and I went treasure hunting this morning. Some other members of the church were doing odd jobs around the estate that we work into a lot (this happens once a month) so we prayed for some clues and decided to wander around the estate.

To be honest, we hadn't been that successful. We'd been able to pray for a few people, but no clues were really matching and we could've been a bit discouraged. To top this off we got sworn at by a lovely (!) gentleman and called 'wierdos'....nice!

Then we saw a girl walking towards us with a dog on a lead. As we chatted to her she didn't match any of our other clues, but said we could pray for her finances after Jaz taking the time to persuade her it was OK to pray about finances!!! It turned out she has literally just moved to the area, she'd be relocated into her own flat (with her dog!) onto the estate and doesn't really know anyone. Then she comes out with a line that nearly floored both Jaz and I:

'Actually, I've been thinking about going to Church and becoming a Christian. I need that in my life'

So, tomorrow morning Jaz is picking her up and she's coming to Church with us!

Makes me wonder who else has been praying for this girl and speaking to her about the difference Jesus can make!
